Several BNP Leaders Receive Calls for Ministerial Positions in New Cabinet

Several newly elected MPs have received calls to take oath as ministers, state ministers, or deputy ministers in the upcoming cabinet led by Tarique Rahman. The list includes senior BNP leaders such as Moin Khan, Sultan Salauddin Tuku, and Ehsanul Haq Milan. Multiple sources confirmed this to The Daily Campus, with an official announcement expected soon after party and government discussions.

Ehsanul Haq Milan from Chandpur-1, a former education state minister in 2001, has been called for a ministerial role. Mir Shah e Alam from Bogura-2 (Shibganj) and Nurul Haq Nur from Patuakhali-3 (Galachipa-Dashmina) are set for state minister positions. Sharifful Alam from Kishoreganj-6, a first-time MP, has also received a call for state minister.

Other confirmed names include Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad from Cumilla-3 (five-time winner), Ariful Haq Chowdhury (first-time MP), Khandkar Abdul Muktadir from Sylhet-1, and Jahir Uddin Swapan from Barishal-1. Sultan Salauddin Tuku from Tangail-5 (winner by 1 lakh 31 thousand 279 votes) and Habib ur Rashid Habib from Dhaka-9 (winner by 1 lakh 11 thousand 212 votes) are also on the list.

The cabinet is expected to expand further, with names like interim security advisor Khalilur Rahman, Junaid Saki, Farhad Hossain Azad, Shama Obaid, Barrister Kaiser Kamal, Rajib Ahsan, Azizul Bari Helal, Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin, Ishrak Hossain, Farzana Sharmin Putul, Faridul Islam, Yaser Khan Chowdhury, and technocrat Bobby Hajjaj Aminul Haq mentioned.

BNP's newly elected MPs took oath as parliament members on Monday but did not take oath as members of the Constitutional Reform Implementation Council.
