Plan for ACC raids in private schools-colleges

Various government agencies and private MPO-enlisted schools and colleges are planning drives to investigate corruption. The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) may conduct these operations.
The indication emerged during a discussion with officials of the Secondary and Higher Education Division under the Ministry of Education on Sunday (October 26).
An unnamed ministry official told The Daily Campus: "ACC only conducts raids in government schools and colleges. But there are various irregularities in private ones too. Drives through ACC may be launched to curb these. Such proposals have come from top levels of the interim government."
The official further said: "This is still at a preliminary stage. It would be good if implemented before the 13th national parliamentary election. Once the election is held, such proposals from the advisory council may not be implemented."
