Edible Oil Prices Increase
The government has decided to increase the price of bottled edible oil by BDT 4 per liter, raising it from BDT 195 to BDT 199. Commerce Minister Khandaker Abdul Muktadir announced the decision today, Wednesday (April 29).
The announcement came following a meeting held at the conference room of the Ministry of Commerce to review the current pricing of edible oil. Addressing journalists after the session, the Minister explained that the adjustment was necessary in light of the current situation in the international market.
"Considering the global market trends, the government has taken the decision to coordinate the price of edible oil domestically," the Minister stated. The new pricing is expected to take effect immediately across the country.
