Unilever Bangladesh Limited (UBL), the country's leading producer and marketer of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), has appointed Ruhul Kuddus Khan as its new chief executive officer (CEO) and managing director. He will assume the role effective November 1, 2025.
Ruhul Kuddus Khan joined Unilever in 1996 as a trainee through the Unilever Future Leaders Programme (UFLP) at the Kalurghat factory. Over his 29-year career, he has held diverse leadership positions in supply chain and research and development (R&D) across Bangladesh and India. In recent years, as supply chain director and subsequently head of customer experience and logistics, Ruhul played a pivotal role in transforming UBL's supply chain into a high-performing, future-ready system. He placed strong emphasis on customer-centric approaches, data analytics, process automation, and digital transformation.
His contributions to sustainability, aligning with Unilever's global commitments, have been particularly noteworthy in advancing net-zero goals within Unilever Bangladesh's operations. A mechanical engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Ruhul is recognised as one of Bangladesh's most respected leaders in supply chain and operations.
Shazia Syed, head of Unilever's Pakistan, Turkey, Arabia, and Bangladesh (PTAB) cluster, commented: "Ruhul comes into the role with a great track record of leading transformations, navigating uncertainty, and driving impact for business and the environment. His strong knowledge of operations, combined with his passion for people, makes him exceptionally well-suited for this role. Under his leadership, Unilever Bangladesh will continue its journey to brighten everyday lives for all."
