Which University Admission Test is When? Find Out Here

After receiving HSC results, students have begun preparing for higher education and entered the admission battle. Most public universities in the country have already published their admission test dates and schedules. However, a few universities have not yet announced their test dates. So, let's find out when and at what time each university's admission test will be held.

Dhaka University

The online application process for the 2025–26 undergraduate program admission tests at Dhaka University (DU) started yesterday, Wednesday (October 29), at 12:00 PM. The application process will end on November 16 at 11:59 PM. Eligible students can apply online and pay the specified fee. The admission tests will be held in 5 units: ‘Arts, Law & Social Sciences Unit’, ‘Science Unit’, ‘Business Studies Unit’, ‘Fine Arts Unit’, and IBA Unit. The Arts, Law & Social Sciences Unit test will be on December 13. The Science Unit test will be on December 20. The Business Studies Unit test will be on December 6. The Fine Arts Unit test (General Knowledge & Drawing) will be on November 29. The IBA Unit test will be held on November 28 (Friday). All unit tests will be from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The IBA Unit test will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) course admission test under the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) of Dhaka University (DU) for the 2025–2026 academic year will be held on November 28 (Friday).

Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology

Online applications for Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) 2025–26 academic year will start on November 16 (Sunday) at 10:00 AM and end on December 2 (Tuesday) at 3:00 PM. Application fees can be paid via mobile or online banking until December 4 (Thursday) at 3:00 PM. Applications marked E, T, S, and R must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office in person or by courier from November 18 to December 4. The admission test will be held on January 10, 2026.

Medical & Dental Colleges

Admission tests for public and private medical and dental colleges across the country will be held on December 12. Applications will start in November. The exact start date has not yet been finalized.

Jahangirnagar University

Jahangirnagar University (JU) central admission test committee has set tentative dates for the 2025–26 undergraduate first-year admission tests. According to the committee, tests are scheduled for the last week of December this year. No decision yet on increasing test centers or changing unit-based test formats.

Rajshahi University

Applications for first-year undergraduate and honors admission at Rajshahi University (RU) for the 2025–26 academic year will run from November 20 to December 6. The ‘C’ (Science) Unit test will be on January 16, ‘A’ (Humanities) Unit on January 17, and ‘B’ (Commerce) Unit on January 24. Tests will be in two shifts: 11:00 AM–12:00 PM and 3:00 PM–4:00 PM. Tests will be held in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna, Rangpur, and Barishal regions.

Chattogram University

Chattogram University (CU) administration has set tentative dates for the 2025–26 undergraduate (honors) first-year admission tests. According to the admission committee meeting: ‘A’ Unit on January 2, ‘B’ Unit on January 3, ‘C’ Unit on January 9, ‘D’ Unit on January 10, ‘B1’ Sub-Unit on January 5, ‘B2’ Sub-Unit on January 6, and ‘D1’ Sub-Unit on January 12.

Bangladesh University of Professionals

Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) has announced dates for the 2025–26 undergraduate first-year admission tests. Tests will start on January 9 and will go on January 10 and 16th. Online applications will run from November 10 to November 30.

Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology

The Level-1 undergraduate course admission test at Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) for the 2025–26 academic year will be held on January 17 (Saturday) next year.

Khulna University

The undergraduate/honors first-year admission tests at Khulna University (KU) for the 2025–26 academic year will be held on December 18 and 19. This was announced in a notice from the Registrar’s Office. According to the notice, ‘A’ and ‘B’ Unit tests will be on December 18 (Thursday). ‘A’ Unit includes Science, Engineering & Technology School disciplines, and ‘B’ Unit includes Life Science School disciplines. The next day, December 19 (Friday), ‘C’ and ‘D’ Unit tests will be held. ‘C’ Unit includes Arts & Humanities School, Social Science School, Law School, Education School, and Fine Arts School disciplines. ‘D’ Unit will cover Management & Business Administration School.

Jagannath University

Jagannath University (JnU) administration has announced dates for the 2025–26 undergraduate (honors) and BBA first-year admission tests. The final dates were set at the 75th (emergency) Academic Council meeting on Wednesday (October 29). E-Unit (Fine Arts Faculty): December 13; A-Unit (Science & Life and Earth Sciences Faculty): December 26 (Friday); C-Unit (Business Studies Faculty): December 27 (Saturday); D-Unit (Social Sciences Faculty): January 9 (Friday); and B-Unit (Arts & Law Faculty): January 23 (Friday).

GST Cluster Admission Test

Dates for the 2025–26 GST cluster admission tests have been finalized. Seat numbers will remain the same as last year, as decided in a meeting at the University Grants Commission (UGC). According to the decision, tests will be held on March 27, April 3, and April 10 next year. The ‘C’ Unit test will be on March 27. The ‘B’ Unit on April 3 and ‘A’ Unit on April 10. The application start date will be decided in the next meeting.

National University

National University Vice Chancellor Prof. A S M Amanullah has stated that the 2025–26 admission tests will start in late December. He shared this in an exclusive interview with The Daily Campus. As in previous years, the MCQ method will be used for undergraduate honors admission in all affiliated colleges.

Bangladesh Maritime University

Bangladesh Maritime University, the country’s only public maritime higher education institution, has published its undergraduate admission notice for the 2025–26 academic year. According to the notice, admission tests will be held on January 30 and 31. Second-time opportunity and negative marking will be maintained. Tests will be objective only. Classes are likely to start in May 2026 after the admission process.

Aviation and Aerospace University Bangladesh

Aviation and Aerospace University Bangladesh has announced dates for undergraduate and postgraduate admission tests. A recent notice on the university website states that the 2025 undergraduate and postgraduate admission tests will be held on December 26. Details will be updated on the website later.

Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University

The 2026 academic year (Level-1, Semester-1) admission tests at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU) will start on January 26 and continue until January 28.

Agricultural Cluster Admission Test Dates Not Yet Set

Agricultural cluster admission test dates have not yet been determined. However, Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) will remain under the agricultural cluster. Despite discussions about leaving the cluster system, BAU will participate in the 2025–26 admission tests through the cluster, as in previous years. Universities under the agricultural cluster include Bangladesh Agricultural University, Gazipur Agricultural University, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Patuakhali Science and Technology University, Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Sylhet Agricultural University, Khulna Agricultural University, Habiganj Agricultural University, and Kurigram Agricultural University.
