DU Fine Arts Admission Test Ends: A Look at This Year’s Question Paper
Dhaka University (DU) concluded the undergraduate admission test for the Fine Arts Unit under the 2025-26 academic session today. The test, held from 11:00am to 12:30pm on Saturday (29 November), saw around 64 candidates competing for each of the 130 seats.
A total of 8,258 applications were received for the 130 seats, marking an applicant-to-seat ratio of 63.52.
Overall admission statistics DU received 2,84,216 applications for 6,125 seats across five units, down from 3.29 lakh last year. This means 46 applicants per seat. The online admission committee confirmed the figures on 20 November.
- Science Unit: 1,14,103 lakh applications for 1,851 seats → 61.64 per seat
- Arts, Law & Social Sciences Unit: 1,07,701 applications for 2,934 seats → 36.71 per seat
- Business Studies Unit: 35,279 applications for 1,050 seats → 33.60 per seat
- Fine Arts Unit: 6,501 applications for 130 seats → 50.01 per seat
- IBA Unit: 9,526 applications for 120 seats → 79.38 per seat

Applications opened on 29 October and closed at 11:59pm on 19 November. Admissions will be taken for 6,125 seats across the five units. IBA Unit received 11,147 applications for 120 seats, with 92.89 per seat. Of the 9,526 who appeared for the IBA test, 80 competed per seat, meaning 79 will miss out. Business Studies Unit saw 35,279 applications for 1,050 seats (33.59 per seat). Science Unit had the highest with over 1.19 lakh applications for 1,851 seats (63.63 per seat). Arts, Law & Social Sciences Unit received 1,09,902 applications for 2,934 seats (37.40 per seat).
