25 Applicants Per Seat at DU Within 9 Days of Admission Opening
Nine days into the application process for Dhaka University's (DU) 2025–26 undergraduate program admission tests, over 1.57 lakh students have applied. The process began on October 29 at 12:00pm and will continue until November 16. With 6,125 seats across five units, the average stands at more than 25 applications per seat.
The Online Admission Committee reported: Science Unit (1,851 seats) received 68,000+ applications (37.4 per seat); Arts, Law & Social Sciences Unit (2,934 seats) got 59,000+ (over 20 per seat); Business Studies Unit (1,040 seats) saw 20,490 (19 per seat); Fine Arts Unit (130 seats) had over 3,000 (23+ per seat); IBA Unit (120 seats) drew 5,925 (50 per seat).
Committee member Professor Dr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman told The Daily Campus on Thursday, "Everyone is applying. We'll compare with last year's 3.29 lakh after the deadline."
The circular was published on October 20. Applications are online until November 16 at 11:59pm, with a Tk 1,050 fee payable at Sonali, Janata, Agrani, or Rupali banks, or via debit/credit card/MFS.
