Saint Martin’s Island, Bangladesh’s only coral island, is set to reopen to tourists from November 1, with the daily visitor limit increased to 3,500. The tourism season will remain open until March 15, according to the announcement.

Under the new arrangement, the ships Karnaphuli and Boro Aulia will operate from Inani in Ukhiya, while the remaining tourist vessels will depart from Nuniachhara Ghat in Cox’s Bazar.

The reopening is expected to allow tourists to visit the island during the designated tourism season, with the daily passenger limit determining the number of visitors permitted to travel there.

Tourists planning to visit Saint Martin’s should check the latest official instructions on ticketing, vessel schedules and travel arrangements before making their plans.
