The Government of Malaysia has officially opened the application window for the 2026 Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) Scholarship. This prestigious initiative invites high-achieving Bangladeshi students to pursue full-time Master’s degree programmes at leading public universities in Malaysia for the upcoming 2026/2027 academic session.

The scholarship is specifically designed for the September/October intake and offers a comprehensive financial package to successful candidates. The award includes a full tuition fee waiver, a monthly living allowance, and coverage for travel and academic support. Beyond financial aid, the programme aims to provide scholars with significant international academic and cultural exposure within Malaysia's top-tier educational institutions.

Eligibility and Requirements
To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must be citizens of Bangladesh and under the age of 45 at the time of application. Academic excellence is a core requirement, with candidates needing at least a Second Class Upper (Honours) or a minimum CGPA of 3.0 at the undergraduate level.

Language proficiency is another critical criterion. Applicants must provide a scanned copy of an original IELTS certificate with a minimum score of 6 or a TOEFL iBT score of at least 60. Alternatively, proof that a previous degree was completed with English as the medium of instruction may be accepted. Furthermore, candidates must be in excellent health, as certified by a medical report issued within the last six months.

How to Apply
The application process is entirely digital. Interested candidates must submit their applications through the official MTCP portal at https://mtcp.kln.gov.my/scholarship. All necessary documentation, including academic transcripts, English proficiency results, and the official MTCP medical report form, must be uploaded during the online submission.

It is important to note that while applying for the scholarship, candidates must also ensure they meet the specific admission criteria for their chosen Malaysian university. The final deadline for completing online submissions is June 12, 2026. For a complete list of participating universities and eligible fields of study, prospective students are encouraged to consult the official portal.
