Dhaka University started first-year undergraduate classes for 2024-2025 academic session, marking fresh chapter for students who secured places through fiercely competitive admission process.

On Wednesday, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Niaz Ahmad Khan personally visited multiple classrooms across Social Sciences Faculty departments, whilst Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Professor Dr Mamun Ahmed toured Science Faculty facilities. Treasurer Professor Dr M Jahangir Alam Chowdhury inspected Business Studies Faculty classrooms.

Three faculty visits demonstrate university's commitment to monitoring educational standards from day one.

Senior officials interacted directly with both teaching staff and newly enrolled students during their rounds, exchanging warm greetings and assessing classroom environments.

University authorities congratulated fresh intake, emphasising students' remarkable achievement in securing places at prestigious institution. Leadership urged newcomers to establish clear academic goals immediately, focusing on developing knowledge, wisdom and practical talents throughout their university journey.

Beyond traditional academics and research, officials encouraged active participation in sports and co-curricular activities. Students received invitations to join various social, cultural and volunteer clubs to enhance skills across different domains whilst developing crucial linguistic and organisational capabilities.

University leadership expressed optimism that this skilled generation will drive Bangladesh towards brighter future, combining academic excellence with well-rounded personal development through comprehensive university experience.
