Team Nirapod Shobdo Wins for Inclusive Innovation
Team Nirapod Shobdo has emerged as the winner of Bangladesh’s first-ever national civic tech showcase, the PTIB Civic Tech Innovation Expo 2026, held on April 12, 2026, at the BCC Auditorium, ICT Tower, Agargaon, Dhaka.
The expo, jointly implemented by UNDP Bangladesh and Bangladesh Computer Council, ICT Division, brought together government officials, development partners, technology leaders, and civil society organizations to celebrate youth-led innovation.
Team Nirapod Shobdo was awarded BDT 1 lakh for their groundbreaking work in ensuring digital justice and accessibility for persons with disabilities. Their innovation aims to create a safe and inclusive platform where every voice can be heard, breaking barriers and promoting equal access to justice.
Team members include Jahin Jawad and Rababa Huma Biswas from Proyash Institute of Special Education and Research affiliated with BUP, along with Niloy Ahsan, Chaity Rani Ghosh, and Sreezon Das Gupto from BRAC University.
This victory marks a significant milestone in their journey toward building a more inclusive society through technology.
