In its preliminary list of 237 candidates for the 13th national parliamentary election, BNP has prominently featured second-generation leaders—sons and daughters of veteran politicians—who are set to contest under the 'Sheaf of Paddy' symbol. Some have prior electoral experience, while a few have even served as MPs.

Tarique Rahman, acting chairman of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), will contest from the Bogura‑6 (Sadar) constituency in the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election. His ancestral seat, Bogura-6, has been held since 1996 by his mother, Khaleda Zia, and is considered a longstanding BNP stronghold.

Dhaka-4: Tanbir Ahmed Robin, son of former MP Salahuddin Ahmed (7th and 9th Parliament), is Dhaka South City BNP Member Secretary.

Gazipur-4: Shah Riazul Hannan Riaz, son of late BNP Standing Committee member ASM Hannan Shah, is Gazipur district Joint Convener and contested in 2018.

Manikganj-2: Mainul Islam Khan, son of late Industry Minister Shamsul Islam Khan, won a 2006 by-election after his father’s death and is now BNP Chairperson’s Advisory Council member.
