Spartans' Communication Club Launches 8th 'Freshmen Glory 2025' for DU FBS Newcomers
The Spartans' Communication Club (SCC), the flagship business and communication club of the Faculty of Business Studies (FBS) at the University of Dhaka, has launched the 8th season of its premier competition, 'MIDAS Financing PLC Presents Freshmen Glory 2025', exclusively for the 31st batch of FBS freshmen.
Since its inception in 2017, Freshmen Glory has served as a vital launchpad for first-year students, transforming curiosity into practical skills for the business world. More than a contest, it's an immersive journey in strategic thinking, high-pressure performance, and real-world problem-solving.
The event kicks off with an interactive workshop to ignite ideas and impart business insights. This is followed by the Assessment Round, where individuals tackle mini-cases to test analytical and creative skills. Selected participants then enter the Focus Group Discussion Round, forming random teams to solve and present cases on the spot, honing teamwork and clarity.
The climax is the Grand Finale, where finalists, mentored by senior students, confront authentic business challenges before a panel of corporate judges. With a total prize pool of BDT 25,000, the competition blends learning with recognition, giving FBS newcomers a memorable entry into competitive arenas.
Registrations are open until November 11, 2025, with the first round slated for late November. To apply, participants pay a BDT 100 fee via bKash, Nagad, or Rocket, then submit the online form with transaction details—a simple two-step process.
