Government calls for nationwide prayers for Khaleda Zia tomorrow after Jummah

The interim government has urged people across the country to offer special prayers tomorrow, Friday after Jummah, for the speedy recovery of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
A press release issued by the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing on Thursday (4 December) stated:
“The interim government calls upon all mosques in the country to hold doa and munajat after Jummah prayers tomorrow (Friday) seeking early recovery and good health for three-time former Prime Minister, wife of former President, and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
Special prayers are also requested in temples, churches, pagodas and all other places of worship in accordance with respective religious rites and traditions.
People from all walks of life are humbly requested to pray for Begum Khaleda Zia’s recovery from their respective positions.”
The 80-year-old opposition leader was admitted to Evercare Hospital on the night of 23 November after being diagnosed with a lung infection. She remains in critical condition.
