Aurthohin hosts ‘Secret Listening Party’ for upcoming album

Popular Bangladeshi rock band Aurthohin ushered in a new era with a ‘Secret Listening Party’ on Friday at the Mercedes-Benz Bangladesh showroom on Tejgaon-Gulshan Link Road, offering an exclusive preview of their upcoming album Phoenixer Diary 2.

The vibrant event, attended by prominent musicians and close friends including Hamin Ahmed and Iqbal Asif Jewel from Miles, Sakib Chowdhury of Cryptic Fate, Alif Alauddin, Kazi Faisal Ahmed, Gibran from Bhoutist, and Sumon’s son Ahnaf Salehin, showcased tracks like Phoenix 2, Shikari, Cactus featuring Ahnaf Salehin, Ichchhe, Bedonar Chorabali 2 featuring Frank Gambale and Bob Franceschini, Unmad, Brishtir Gaan, and the much-awaited Nikrishto 4. The album introduces Aurthohin’s new Bangla Nu Metal style.

Bassbaba Sumon, introducing his son, said, “We’re lucky to have Gen Alpha with us. Aurthohin is evolving with time and will keep doing so.”

The event paid tribute to the late A K Ratul, sound engineer and bassist of Owned, with the album dedicated to his memory.

Phoenixer Diary 2 is set for a global release on October 17 across platforms like YouTube Music, Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and Qobuz. The first single, Unmad, was released on October 2 via Aurthohin’s YouTube channel.
