The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has entered the final stages of processing the results for the 47th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations. Following the conclusion of the viva voce (oral examination) last Thursday, the commission is actively working to publish the final recommendations within the ongoing week.

According to reliable sources within the PSC today, Sunday (June 21), processing operations are underway at a rapid pace. A full commission meeting will be formally convened immediately after the technical tabulation is completed, where the final approval for the results will be given.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a senior PSC official indicated that the administration is targeting mid-week for the official declaration.

"There is a strong possibility of releasing the 47th BCS results this week. If the technical preparations conclude without disruption, a full commission meeting may be called this Wednesday or Thursday to finalize the results. Should any technical delay occur, the publication will shift to early next week." — Senior PSC Official

Reaffirming the timeline, PSC Chairman Professor Mobasser Monem stated that the commission is operating with the explicit goal of releasing the results within this month.

The 47th BCS circular was originally published by the PSC on November 28, 2024, followed by the preliminary examination on September 19, 2025. The commission set an administrative record by publishing the preliminary results just nine days after the exam.

The written examinations were subsequently held from November 27 to December 18, 2025, across simultaneous centers in Dhaka, Rajshahi, Chattogram, Khulna, Barishal, Sylhet, Rangpur, and Mymensingh. The written exam results were declared on April 7, wherein a total of 3,631 candidates provisionally qualified for the final interview phase.

According to the official circular, this BCS drive will recruit a total of 3,688 candidates across both cadre and non-cadre positions. Among these, 3,487 applicants will be appointed to various government cadres, while the remaining 201 will be absorbed into non-cadre administrative roles.
