DU Student Rasel Tops Education Cadre in 49th Special BCS

Secured first position in the Education Cadre (Islamic History and Culture branch)

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has published the final results of the 49th Special BCS Examination-2025, with 668 candidates provisionally recommended for appointment. The results were released on the PSC website on Tuesday night.

Among the successful candidates, Abdullah Al Rasel from Pakundia upazila in Kishoreganj has secured first position in the Education Cadre (Islamic History and Culture branch). He is the son of farmer Sayem Uddin and homemaker Kamala Khatun from Jhaugarchor village in Charfaradi Union.

Abdullah graduated from the Islamic History and Culture Department at Dhaka University with a CGPA of 3.33 in 2021 and completed his postgraduate studies with a CGPA of 3.35 in 2022.

Previously, he passed SSC (Dakhil) in Humanities from Mirzapur Alim Madrasa in Pakundia upazila with GPA-5 in 2014 and HSC (Alim) with GPA-4.64 in 2016.

Abdullah said, "I am grateful to Allah for granting me this success. The tireless support of my family and inspiration from my teachers brought me here. Rising from a madrasa to Dhaka University and now topping the Education Cadre—this is not just my achievement but an inspiration for the youth of our region. I want talented boys and girls from villages to dream big with confidence."
