Inter-Hall Football Tournament 2025 Kicks Off at CUET

The ‘Inter-Hall Football Tournament 2025’, organized by the Physical Education Center of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET), commenced on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at the university’s central playground. The inaugural match saw Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam Hall face off against Shahid Abu Sayeed Hall in a spirited contest.

 

Five residential halls are participating in this year’s tournament: Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam Hall, Shahid Mohammad Shah Hall, Dr. Qudrat-E-Khuda Hall, Shahid Tareq Huda Hall, and Shahid Abu Sayeed Hall. A total of 10 matches are scheduled, with games held daily from 5 PM. The final is set for May 29, 2025, at 4 PM, featuring the two teams with the highest points.

 

Professor Dr. Abu Moazzem Hossain, Assistant Director of CUET’s Student Welfare Department, praised the initiative, stating, “Organizing this football tournament is highly commendable. Sports not only promote physical fitness but also provide mental tranquility, uplifting students’ spirits and enhancing their focus on studies.”

 

The tournament, a highlight of CUET’s vibrant campus life, fosters camaraderie and healthy competition among the halls, with facilities for football and other sports well-supported by the university.
