Under a directive issued by Satkhira Deputy Commissioner Afroza Akter, fuel currently stored at filling stations will continue to be sold at the previous government-fixed prices.

She clarified that the newly increased rates will only apply to fuel supplied from depots starting today (19 April). “Any fuel that has already been delivered to filling stations before the price hike will continue to be sold at the earlier rates,” she added.

According to the daily fuel report of the DC office, Satkhira’s 29 filling stations currently hold 101,432 litres of diesel, 54,485 litres of petrol, and 22,683 litres of octane.

Filling stations have been instructed to sell the existing stock at the old prices, while any newly received fuel must be sold at the revised rates.

Under the new pricing, diesel has increased from Tk 100 to Tk 115 per litre, petrol from Tk 116 to Tk 135, and octane from Tk 120 to Tk 140.
