Political Mischief Has Seized Educational Institutions: Education Adviser

Mentioning that political mischief has seized educational institutions, Education Adviser to the interim government Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar said, “This Dhaka Alia Madrasa has made contributions to journalism, education, and state administration. Previously, a militant drama was staged in the madrasa and a massacre was carried out at Shapla Chattar.”

On Wednesday (1 October), Chowdhury Refikul Abarar made these remarks at the event marking the 246th founding anniversary of the historic Government Madrasah-e-Alia in the capital. Informing that work is underway to make the madrasa education system realistic, contemporary, and modern, the education adviser said, “One of the key systems in the country's education framework is the madrasa education system. Madrasa students must certainly give priority to religious education.”

He urged madrasa students to learn science alongside religious education. At this time, the education adviser announced that the field and land issue of Dhaka Alia Madrasa will be resolved through a quick process, along with addressing the teacher shortage, constructing an academic building, and arranging for safe drinking water.
