Viral Photo of Adviser Asif with Woman in Hotel Room is AI-Generated: Rumor Scanner

A recent image circulating on social media, purportedly showing Local Government Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan with a woman in a hotel room, has been identified as AI-generated, according to fact-checking organisation Rumor Scanner.

In a statement posted on its verified Facebook page on Sunday (24 August), Rumor Scanner clarified that the viral photo was created using artificial intelligence technology. The organisation’s investigation revealed that the image was manipulated by combining two separate photographs of different individuals through AI tools.

Further analysis by Rumor Scanner identified multiple inconsistencies typical of AI-generated content. For instance, a flower held by the woman in the original image appeared distorted and incomplete in the viral photo, confirming the use of artificial manipulation.
