Private Medical College Admissions for 2025-26 Session Begin Today
The admission process for MBBS and BDS courses in private medical and dental colleges for the 2025-26 academic session officially commenced this Wednesday, March 25. According to a directive signed by Professor Dr. Md. Mohiuddin Matubbar, Director of Medical Education at the Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME), the admission window will remain open until March 31.
The DGME confirmed that the list of selected candidates was prepared through automated software based on merit and the preferences provided in online applications. Students must complete their admission formalities at their respective colleges within the stipulated timeframe.
Migration and Essential Procedures
For students interested in changing their assigned college, an online optional migration facility will be available, provided seats remain vacant. Applications for migration can be submitted from 5:00 PM on March 29 until 5:00 PM on March 31. Detailed information regarding the selection list and admission guidelines is available on the official websites of the DGME and the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The directive outlines several mandatory steps for candidates:

Document Verification: College authorities will verify and retain original certificates during the process.

Medical Examination: A health checkup by a medical board is required prior to formalizing the admission.

Initial Fees: An initial deposit of 1 lakh BDT must be paid at the time of admission, with the remaining government fixed fees to be settled after the migration process concludes.
Required Documentation
Prospective students are required to submit several key documents, including the admission test admit card, a copy of the results, SSC and HSC (or equivalent) certificates and transcripts, registration cards, citizenship certificates, and passport sized photographs.
The DGME has strictly warned institutions against charging any amount exceeding the government mandated fees. Following the completion of the online migration and final admissions, colleges are required to upload the list of enrolled students to the designated portal and submit the final tally to the DGME by April 1.
