The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at Dhaka University (DU) will hold its undergraduate admission test for the 2026–27 academic session on Saturday, December 5, 2026, featuring a specialized exam structure distinct from other faculties.

The schedule and format were approved during the DU General Admission Committee meeting chaired by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A B M Obaidul Islam. The IBA admission test will take place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on the university’s central campus in Dhaka, unlike general units whose exams are distributed across eight divisional university centers.

The IBA admission test will evaluate candidates through a two-hour examination consisting of a 70-mark Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) section and a 30-mark descriptive writing section. Candidates will be allotted 90 minutes for the MCQ portion—which tests English, Mathematics, and Analytical Ability—and 30 minutes for the descriptive writing section.

Candidate evaluation for IBA will be calculated out of a total 120 marks, with 100 marks assigned to the written admission test and 20 marks derived from SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent GPA results. Applicants qualifying in the written examination will subsequently be shortlisted for a viva voce round prior to final selection.
