The undergraduate admission test for the Business Studies Unit at the University of Dhaka (DU) for the 2026–27 academic session is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 26, 2026.

The decision was finalized during the university’s General Admission Committee meeting chaired by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A B M Obaidul Islam. The online application window for all units, including Business Studies, will remain open from November 11 to November 25, 2026.

The Business Studies examination will run for 90 minutes, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Candidates will be evaluated out of 120 total marks, where 100 marks are allocated to the admission test and 20 marks are based on SSC and HSC GPA scores. The test comprises a 60-mark Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) section lasting 45 minutes and a 40-mark written section lasting 45 minutes.

To be eligible, commerce background applicants must possess a combined GPA of at least 7.5 across their SSC and HSC examinations, with a minimum individual GPA of 3.0 in each exam. Science stream applicants seeking to switch into the Business Studies Unit must hold a combined GPA of at least 8.0 with a minimum individual GPA of 3.5.

To ease the travel burden on prospective students, the Business Studies Unit examination will be conducted simultaneously across eight divisional university centers nationwide, including Dhaka University, Rajshahi University, Chittagong University, Barishal University, Khulna University, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh Agricultural University, and Begum Rokeya University.
