The undergraduate admission test for the Science Unit at the University of Dhaka (DU) for the 2026–27 academic session is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 12, 2026. The examination will run from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM simultaneously across the Dhaka University campus and seven designated divisional university centers nationwide.

As finalized during the General Admission Committee meeting chaired by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A B M Obaidul Islam, applicants from the Science background must satisfy a minimum combined GPA threshold of 8.0 (including fourth subject) across their SSC and HSC examinations. Candidates must also hold an individual minimum GPA of 3.5 in both public examinations. Applicants from Humanities and Business Studies streams who wish to apply to eligible programs within the Science Unit must meet a minimum combined GPA of 7.5, with at least 3.0 individually.

Eligible candidates must have completed their SSC or equivalent examinations between 2021 and 2024, followed by their HSC or equivalent examinations in 2026. Online applications for the Science Unit will officially launch on November 11 and close on November 25, 2026.

The evaluation for the Science Unit will follow a 120-mark framework. The 100-mark entrance examination consists of a 60-mark Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) segment lasting 45 minutes and a 40-mark written segment lasting 45 minutes. The remaining 20 marks will be calculated directly from the candidate's SSC and HSC academic results.

In a notable academic policy update for the 2026–27 session, the university announced that English-medium applicants sitting for the Science Unit examination will be provided with a specialized question paper prepared specifically according to their curriculum.
