The 'B' Unit (Business Studies) admission test for the 2025–2026 academic session at Rajshahi University (RU) concluded this afternoon across several divisional hubs. The exam, held for the Faculty of Business Studies and the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), saw a heavy turnout of candidates from both commerce and non-commerce backgrounds.

According to Professor Dr. Saiful Islam, Director of the RU ICT Center, the test was held in two shifts to accommodate the 30,886 applicants vying for only 564 seats. The competition remains fierce, with 55 candidates competing for every single seat.

Exam Structure and Question Analysis

The one-hour MCQ exam consisted of 80 questions, totaling 100 marks. Early feedback from candidates suggests the following:

• Business Group: The accounting and business organization sections were described as "standard but time-consuming," while the English portion focused heavily on grammar and vocabulary.

• Non-Business Group: Candidates faced a combination of Math, ICT, and General Knowledge. The ICT section specifically focused on hardware and networking basics, which some found challenging.

Result and Next Steps

Following the publication of the 'C' Unit results yesterday and the expected release of 'A' Unit results later tonight, the 'B' Unit results are tentatively scheduled for mid-February.
