JU ‘B’ and ‘E’ Unit Admission Tests Today: How Many Candidates Per Seat?

Two unit admission tests for first year honours under the 2025-26 academic session at Jahangirnagar University (JU) are being held today. On Monday (22 December), admission tests for 'B' Unit under Faculty of Social Sciences and 'E' Unit under Faculty of Business Studies will be held.

From the university's central admission test management committee sources, it is learnt that comparatively less competition will be in 'B' Unit under Faculty of Social Sciences. Against 326 seats here, 20,583 persons have applied. In this unit, 63 persons will compete per seat. In 'E' Unit under Faculty of Business Studies, 11,612 persons have applied against 200 seats. In this unit, 58 examinees will compete per seat.

Besides, in 'C1' Unit under Drama and Dramatics and Fine Arts departments, 3,725 students have applied against 64 seats. 58 persons will compete per seat. In Institute of Business Administration (IBA-JU) Unit, 5,411 students have applied against 50 seats. Thus, about 108 aspirants will sit for the test per seat.

This year, the highest number of examinees will compete in 'D' Unit under Faculty of Biological Sciences. 70,220 students have applied against 310 seats in this unit. As a result, 227 persons will compete for each seat in this unit, which is the highest in this year's admission test.

In Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences under 'A' Unit, 60,351 persons have applied against 426 seats. In this unit, 142 aspirants will compete per seat.

Besides, part of 'C1' and 'D' Units will be held on 23 December and remaining part of 'D' Unit on 24 December. Part of 'A' Unit and admission test of IBA-JU will be held on 28 December. This year's admission test activities will end with remaining part of 'A' Unit on 29 December.
