Rajshahi University admission applications begin today: Step-by-step guide
Rajshahi University (RU) will start accepting online applications for first-year honours admission under the 2025-26 academic session today (20 November) at 12:00 noon. The application window will remain open until 7 December at 11:59 pm. No written or offline applications will be accepted, the authorities have confirmed.
The university’s ICT Centre has published detailed application guidelines on its official admission website. Here is the complete step-by-step process:
1. Online Registration (Mobile Number Verification)
Visit the admission website and click “Register”. Enter your HSC/equivalent and SSC/equivalent roll numbers, education board, and passing year. Complete the Captcha and click “Submit”. If the details are correct, enter your personal or guardian’s mobile number and click “Send OTP”. Enter the received OTP and verify. Your username and password will be sent to that mobile number. Use them for all future steps.
Important:
- The mobile number must belong to the applicant or guardian. One number cannot be used for multiple applicants.
- All admission-related communication will be sent to this number.
2. Photo Upload
Upload a recent colour photograph (300×400 pixels, studio quality, white background, maximum 100 KB, JPG format). No school/college uniform, effects, or natural backgrounds allowed. This photo will be used for final admission.
3. Question Paper Language
Choose “Bangla” or “English” for the question paper.
4. Quota Information
Select applicable quotas and upload supporting documents (maximum 1 MB, single JPG/PDF file).
5. Selfie Upload
Download the “RU Admission” app by scanning the QR code or clicking “Download App”. Follow in-app instructions to submit a live selfie.
6. Unit Selection & Fee Payment
Eligible units will be displayed. Click “Apply Now” for desired units. Select exam zone (city/centre). Pay the fee via bKash or Rocket. Download and save the payment slip.
Special Applicants (GCE, Diploma, BFA, BOU students)
Use the special link on the registration page, select “Others” as board, upload mark sheets, and follow the same process.

Applications can be submitted only through the official RU admission portal. Students are advised to complete the process carefully as certain changes (photo, language, zone, quota) can be updated later via the Student Panel, but not after the deadline.
