Five More Universities May Join Cluster Admission System
Five additional universities could join the cluster admission test for the 2025-26 academic year. Today, Monday, at 12:45pm, the University Grants Commission (UGC) held a meeting at its conference room in Agargaon, the capital, inviting vice-chancellors of universities that had left the cluster. The UGC appealed to them to rejoin the system.
A source from the meeting said the UGC urged universities that had separated from the cluster admission process to return. The vice-chancellors of the concerned universities said they will discuss the matter in their academic councils and convey the final decision soon. The UGC and Ministry of Education will take necessary steps thereafter.
Earlier, at 12:45pm, vice-chancellors of cluster universities met with the UGC.
For context, the admission tests are scheduled for March 27, April 3, and April 10 next year. The 'C' unit test will be on March 27, 'B' unit on April 3, and 'A' unit on April 10, as decided by the admission committee.
