Just days after the tragic bus sinking incident at Daulatdia in Rajbari, another alarming image has gone viral on social media. The photo shows a bus with nearly one-third of its body hanging outside the ferry at the Boga ferry terminal in Bauphal, Patuakhali. Several passengers can be seen inside the vehicle.

On Saturday (28 March), the image was posted from an account in a local Facebook group in Patuakhali. The caption read: “A bus is boarding the ferry at Boga ghat with this much risk. We should learn a lot from the Daulatdia incident.”

In the comments, a user named Al Amin wrote: “People in our country were never human and will never become human. After seeing one accident, people should learn something. It has only been three days since so many innocent lives drowned! In Bangladesh, the value of money is greater than the value of human life.”

Another user named Mridul commented: “This is only possible with Sakura. They don’t care about passenger service or the value of passengers’ lives.”

On Wednesday (25 March) afternoon around 5:15 p.m., a bus of Souhardya Paribahan travelling from Kushtia to Dhaka lost control while boarding the ferry at Daulatdia ferry ghat’s No. 3 pontoon and plunged into the Padma River. So far, 26 bodies have been recovered from the incident.
