In 2007, written exams concluded on April 4, with results published 68 days later on June 12. The following year, 2008, saw a remarkably swift publication in just 32 days after exams ended on April 27. Subsequent years maintained relatively prompt timelines, such as 51 days in 2009, 70 days in 2010, 63 days in 2011, 53 days in 2012, 65 days in 2013, and 58 days in both 2014 and 2015.

The processing durations remained consistent through the late 2010s, with results published in 64 days in 2016, 63 days in 2017, 65 days in 2018, and 69 days in 2019. The only instance surpassing the current timeline occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, which required 94 days due to extraordinary national lockdowns and public health disruptions, culminating in a May 31 release. Conversely, the pandemic-adjusted examinations of 2021 saw results compiled in a record 37 days on December 30 due to a shortened syllabus. In subsequent years, processing durations normalized to 58 days in 2022, 61 days in both 2023 and 2024, and 58 days in 2025 under the interim administration. By contrast, the 82-day duration for the 2026 results stands as the longest processing period under normal operating conditions in 20 years.

This delay carries substantial implications for the national academic calendar. Under the established educational framework, higher secondary education is scheduled to begin in July, following the completion of admission applications and seat allocations. Because the 2026 results were delayed until August 10, students find themselves running over a month behind schedule. With application sorting, verification, and admission procedures expected to consume an additional one and a half to two months, formal classes for Class XI are projected to commence around October. Consequently, newly enrolled higher secondary students face an immediate session jam of approximately three months before their academic instruction officially begins.
