Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr. ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon officially published the 2026 SSC and equivalent examination results during a ceremony held at the Ministry of Education conference room on Monday, August 10.

Earlier in the day, chairpersons of the respective education boards formally handed over the examination results to the minister. Students and guardians can access their scorecards through official education board websites and mobile SMS services. This year introduces an additional SMS option via the new number 16140, alongside the established 16222 service.

While results are traditionally published within 60 days of the conclusion of written examinations—which would have placed the release around July 20—the education boards published the results approximately three weeks behind the standard schedule.

A total of 1,857,344 candidates registered and participated across 3,885 centers from 30,666 educational institutions under 11 boards nationwide. The candidates comprise 930,305 male students and 927,039 female students.

A breakdown by educational stream indicates:

• General Education Boards: 1,418,318 candidates
• Madrasa Board (Dakhil): 303,286 candidates
• Technical Education Board: 134,660 candidates
