July Salary Proposal Approved for MPO Teachers, Disbursement Expected Early Next Week
The Ministry of Education has approved the July salary proposal for Non-Government Educational Institution (MPO-enlisted) teachers and staff in private schools and colleges across the country, with disbursement expected early next week.
Sources at the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) confirmed the development on Thursday (August 6). According to DSHE, following the issuance of the Government Order (GO) for July salaries and allowances, the file was immediately forwarded to the Accountant General (AG) Office. Once cleared by the AG Office, Bangladesh Bank will transfer the funds to designated distribution banks.
Speaking to The Daily Campus, DSHE Director (Finance and Procurement) Professor Mohammad Monir Hossain Patwary confirmed:
"The ministry has approved the July salary proposal, and we have already sent it to the AG Office. Teachers and employees will receive their July salaries and allowances very soon."
Official sources noted that because financial procedures are unlikely to wrap up by the end of Thursday's banking hours, teachers and staff are expected to draw their salaries from banks early next week.
Under the government's streamlined digital billing framework, institutional heads submit monthly salary proposals online. The proposals are verified and cleared in coordination with the Ministry of Finance before final remittance to bank accounts, ensuring greater transparency and timely disbursement.
