DSHE Ready to Accept MPO Teachers' Transfer Applications, Delayed by Teletalk

The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) is fully prepared to initiate online transfer applications for MPO-registered teachers of private schools and colleges through an automated software system, though the process remains stalled due to delays from software developer Teletalk.

According to DSHE sources on Tuesday (July 28), 99.99 percent of educational institutions have completed inputting and validating their institutional data. The directorate plans to proceed with accepting applications by excluding the negligible fraction of non-compliant institutions. However, DSHE cannot formally seek approval from the Ministry of Education to launch the portal until Teletalk provides final technical clearance.

Speaking to The Daily Campus on condition of anonymity, a senior DSHE official confirmed that administrative preparations are complete, but technical tasks pending on Teletalk's end are holding back the official request letter to the ministry. The official added that the directorate is working sincerely to send the letter as soon as Teletalk issues a green light.

Under the initial timeline, school heads and college principals were required to complete data input, verification, and final approval by June 25. Subsequent deadlines for Upazila and District Education Officers, as well as Regional Directors, lapsed between July 5 and July 15. With all administrative verification phases concluded, hundreds of thousands of teachers awaiting transfers remain in uncertainty as the official application window continues to face technical delays.
