The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has deferred the publication of the Class 5 primary scholarship examination results, which were originally scheduled for release today, Thursday. According to sources within the ministry, the results are not fully compiled yet due to unexpected technical complications. Barring any further technical glitches, the official scholarship results are highly likely to be published early next week, specifically on Sunday, July 12.

Once the Primary Education Department officially releases the data, students, teachers, and guardians can check the results seamlessly using two simple channels:

Via SMS Tracking: Speaking to The Daily Campus, Dilip Kumar Sarkar, System Analyst at the Directorate of Primary Education (DPE), confirmed that state-owned Teletalk has launched a dedicated shortcode framework. Candidates can send a text message from any mobile operator by typing DPE [Space] Roll Number and forwarding it to 16222 (e.g., DPE 123456).

Via Web Portal: Alternatively, users can instantly access the breakdown by visiting the integrated primary education portal and inputting the candidate's roll number alongside their respective district and upazila details.

More than 640,000 students sat for the primary scholarship evaluations this year, including approximately 550,000 candidates from government primary institutions and around 90,000 students from private kindergarten platforms.

A total of 82,500 students will receive scholarships this year. Among them, 66,000 will be selected from the government primary school quota, while the remaining 16,500 will come from the private or kindergarten quota.

The scholarship recipients will be divided into two categories: 33,000 students will be selected under the Talentpool grade, and 49,500 will receive the General grade. Talentpool recipients will get a monthly stipend of 300 BDT alongside an annual lump-sum grant of 225 BDT. General grade recipients will receive 225 BDT monthly along with the same annual grant of 225 BDT. All selected students will continue to receive these government financial benefits for two consecutive years throughout Class 6 and Class 7.
