SSC Routine Change: Education Minister Clarifies Position
The upcoming Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations will proceed exactly according to the previously announced schedule, Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr. A.N.M. Ehsanul Hoque Milon confirmed today, Monday.
Speaking at a high-level press conference held in the conference room of the Ministry of Education, the minister addressed ongoing speculations regarding potential modifications to the academic calendar.
The Education Minister explicitly stated that the current examination roadmap was engineered to align directly with the convenience of students and families.
"The stakeholders themselves wanted the 2027 SSC examinations to conclude entirely before the commencement of Ramadan. We designed the routine in accordance with that feedback, and it remains unchanged up to this point." — Dr. A.N.M. Ehsanul Hoque Milon, Minister for Education
The ministry emphasized that the structural timing of the state public examinations relies heavily on the collective agreement of academic communities, parents, and board administrators. Dr. Milon clarified that while the government remains open to dialogue, there is absolutely no active plan or administrative proposal on the table to restructure the examination dates. He noted that the ministry would only re-evaluate or enter fresh discussions if key academic stakeholders collectively approach the state with a unified request for a review in the future. Otherwise, students have been advised to prepare strictly according to the declared timetable.
