"We will release the SSC exam results on July 20. I have already issued this directive." — Dr. A.N.M. Ehsanul Hoque Milon, Minister for Education
Maintaining the Timeline Amid Political Transition
The strict adherence to publishing public examination results within a 60-day window has been maintained as a structural norm across successive administrations, continuing from the previous Awami League regime through the subsequent interim government. This particular session marks a significant milestone, as it represents the first major public examination held under the administration of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), which assumed governance in February of this year.
The extensive nationwide examination process commenced on April 21 of this year, with the theoretical test papers concluding on May 20. Currently, the secondary education boards are overseeing the practical examinations across designated centers.
Final Stages and Candidate Volume
According to the schedule outlined by the education ministry, the ongoing practical examinations are slated to continue until June 14. Once the practical evaluations conclude, the boards will enter the final compilation phase to meet the mid-July deadline.
The scale of this year's examination remains massive, serving as a critical academic gateway for the country's youth. A total of more than 1.85 million candidates registered and sat for the SSC and its equivalent examinations nationwide this year.
