Two Invigilators Removed as Education Minister Conducts Surprise Visit to SSC Centres

Education and Primary & Mass Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon made an unannounced visit to two SSC examination centres in Singair upazila of Manikganj on Tuesday (21 April).

The minister visited Joymentop High School and Sahrail High School centres. Upon finding irregularities, he instructed the local UNO to immediately remove two room invigilators.

According to sources, the minister arrived without any protocol and with the flag on his vehicle covered. He directly entered two examination halls at Joymentop High School and took action against the invigilators on the spot.

This was the first day of the 2026 SSC, Dakhil, and equivalent examinations, which began at 10:00 AM and ended at 1:00 PM.

A total of 18,57,344 students are participating this year. Among them, 9,30,305 are male and 9,27,039 are female. Under the nine general education boards, 14,18,398 students appeared, while 3,04,286 sat under the Madrasa Education Board and 1,34,660 under the Technical Education Board.

Examinations are being held at 3,885 centres involving 30,666 educational institutions.
