NTRCA to Skip 19th Teacher Registration, Opt for Direct 9th Teacher Recruitment

The Non-Government Teachers’ Registration & Certification Authority (NTRCA) will not publish the 19th Teacher Registration notification. Instead, it will issue a direct 9th Teacher Recruitment notification to fill more than 77,000 vacant teaching positions in non-government educational institutions.

This decision was confirmed by multiple sources at the Education Ministry and NTRCA on Tuesday (21 April).

According to the revised 2025 policy, candidates will be selected through a 200-mark MCQ written examination followed by a 20-mark viva voce. After the selection process, NTRCA will recommend candidates for the 9th Teacher Recruitment.

NTRCA Chairman Md. Aminul Islam told The Daily Campus, “According to the new policy, we will publish the 9th Teacher Recruitment notification for over 77,000 positions. The term ‘19th Registration Notification’ will not be used.”

NTRCA has received information on 77,799 vacant posts from various institutions. The highest number of vacancies is for Assistant Teachers (44,691). Other positions include:

  • Assistant Teacher (Religious and Moral Education): 928
  • Assistant Teacher/Physical Education Trainer: 4,014
  • Assistant Maulvi: 11,069
  • Computer Practical Instructor: 129
  • Practical Instructor: 1,616
  • Ibtidayi Qari: 2,563
  • Ibtidayi Maulvi: 6,166
  • Ibtidayi Teacher: 444
  • Trainer: 51
  • Lecturer: 5,852
  • Physical Education Trainer: 125
  • Commerce Trainer: 251

The new recruitment process is expected to begin soon, with the written examination to be held under strict supervision to ensure transparency.
