Jahangirnagar University (JU) will commence classes for students admitted in the 2024-25 academic year starting tomorrow, Sunday (September 21). The class rolls, registration numbers, and hall allocations have already been assigned. The respective hall provosts will arrange seat allocations for students. However, students admitted under the ward quota will not be provided with residential hall accommodations.

This information was announced in a notice published on the university’s admission-related website on Friday (September 19). The notice stated that classes for the first-year undergraduate (honors) students of the 2024-25 academic year will begin on September 21. Students have been assigned class rolls, registration numbers, and halls as per the provided details.

The respective hall provosts will gradually arrange seat allocations in the halls. However, no students admitted under the ward quota will be allotted seats in the residential halls. They will only be affiliated with a hall but will not be allowed to reside in any residential facility.

The notice further clarified that if any student’s submitted documents, such as secondary or higher secondary certificates or other papers, are found to be fake during admission confirmation, their admission will be considered canceled. If any errors are identified in the list, the authorities reserve the right to make corrections at a later stage.

It is worth mentioning that students have been instructed to contact their respective halls, as listed next to their names, starting today, Saturday (September 20), for accommodation arrangements. The list of class rolls, registration numbers, and hall allocations has been published on the university’s website.
