Online applications for the first release slip of the 1st-year undergraduate (Honours) admission program under National University (NU) for the 2025–26 academic session are set to commence at the end of this month.

Dr. Md. Ashek Kabir Chowdhury, the Acting Dean of the Undergraduate Education School at National University, confirmed the development to The Daily Campus today, Saturday (June 20). He stated that the first and second merit lists have officially concluded.

The university will initiate the release slip application process next, followed by an additional merit list. The administration aims to open the first release slip window by the end of this month, tentatively scheduled to begin around June 27 or 28.

Eligibility Criteria

According to university administration sources, the release slip window is open exclusively to specific categories of applicants who obtained the minimum passing score of 35 marks in the admission test. This includes candidates who did not secure a placement on the primary merit lists, those who secured a placement but opted not to complete their admission, and students who finalized their admission through the first, second, or quota merit lists but subsequently canceled their enrollment.

Application Guidelines and Process

Students must navigate the entire process digitally through the official university gateway by accessing the "Applicant Login" option on the National University admission portal to select their preferred institutions and subjects. Each applicant is permitted to select a maximum of five colleges in order of preference, based on the real-time vacant seat lists displayed for each institution.

After successfully filling out the digital form, candidates should download and print the final PDF copy for their personal records. The university has clarified that this application form does not need to be physically submitted to any college, absolutely no application fees are required, and manual institutional confirmation from the colleges is not necessary. Detailed formal instructions will remain accessible under the 'Prospectus (Honours)' and 'Important Notice' tabs on the official National University website.
