July Uprising Activist Abu Zubair Killed in Road Accident
Md. Abu Jubayer, a university student from Birganj Upazila of Dinajpur, tragically lost his life in a devastating road accident in the capital. The accident occurred late Monday night (June 15), cutting short his life and plunging his family, relatives, and friends into deep mourning.
Jubayer was a student in the Department of Law at Manarat International University in Dhaka. Beyond his academic pursuits, he was a well-known social influencer and debater. He was actively involved in various social and educational activities, and he also participated in the July mass uprising.
Hailing from the Bhullirhat area of Mohanpur Union in Birganj, Jubayer was the younger brother of Salahuddin, who was killed during a political movement in 2014.
According to family sources, following the tragic accident in Dhaka, his body was transported back to his village home in Birganj today. A large crowd consisting of grieving relatives, classmates, and local residents gathered at his home to pay their final respects. His Namaaz-e-Janaza (funeral prayer) is scheduled to be held at 5:00 PM today, followed by his burial at the family graveyard.
During his academic life, Jubayer completed his Secondary School Certificate (SSC) from Birganj Government Pilot High School and his Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from Parbatipur Cantonment Public School and College. He was highly regarded by both his teachers and peers as a talented, gentle, and polite student.
The news of his sudden demise has cast a somber shadow over the entire area. Social media platforms have been flooded with expressions of profound grief, tributes, and prayers from classmates and well-wishers mourning his untimely departure.
