DU Announces Final Exam Dates for All Years of Affiliated Seven Colleges

Dhaka University has officially announced the tentative schedules for the final examinations of all academic years across its seven affiliated government colleges. The announcement was made through an official notification issued today, Monday, signed by Dr. Himadri Shekhar Chakraborty, the Acting Controller of Examinations of Dhaka University.

According to the official circular, the timelines for the form-fill-up and final examinations of the 2025 Honours 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years, as well as the 2025 Masters Final Phase, have been formulated based on the recommendations submitted by the Principal of Dhaka College. The centralized planning has been executed with the explicit goal of expediting both the examination processes and result publications, ensuring that students can complete their academic programs and other related obligations within a strictly defined schedule.

A Breakdown of Tentative Examination Timelines

The administrative directive outlines a structured roadmap across the different academic tiers to avoid session backlogs and bring uniformity across the affiliated institutions. Based on the details provided in the university notification, the final examinations are scheduled to commence during specific windows:

The final examination for the Honours First Year is tentatively scheduled to take place during the third week of August. Concurrently, the final evaluation for the Honours Fourth Year candidates is projected to begin shortly after, during the fourth week of August.

As the academic year progresses into the latter half, the Honours Third Year final examinations will be initiated, with the potential start date set for the second week of November. The remaining tiers will be evaluated during the final month of the year; the Honours Second Year examinations are scheduled for the first week of December, followed immediately by the Masters Final Phase examinations, which are slated to commence during the second week of December.

The administration has urged the affiliated college authorities and students to prepare their respective academic plans and complete internal evaluations in accordance with these newly released timelines.
