JU Announces 25-Day Vacation
Jahangirnagar University (JU) is set to begin a 25-day vacation starting from May 21, in observance of the holy Eid-ul-Adha and the annual summer break. The university administration officially announced the schedule today, Tuesday (May 12), through a notification signed by the Acting Registrar, Dr. A.B.M. Azizur Rahman.
According to the notification, all academic classes will remain suspended from May 21 until June 14. In addition to the academic break, the university offices will observe a 16-day holiday starting from May 24 and continuing until June 8.
The administration has instructed all relevant departments to take the necessary preparations for the long break. However, the notification also specified that essential university offices and emergency services may operate on a limited scale during this period to maintain necessary institutional functions.
