Emi Released from Prison After Two Months

Sheikh Tasnim Afroz Emi has been released from prison today, Thursday (May 7), two months after her arrest. She was incarcerated on charges of playing Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's March 7 speech in front of the Shahbagh Police Station and leading a protest alongside members of the banned organization, Chhatra League.
Emi's legal counsel, Advocate Muha. Noman Hossain, confirmed her release through a post on social media. He wrote, "Alhamdulillah. Emi is free from prison; sincere gratitude to everyone who stood by us."
