The National University (NU) has announced that classes for the first-year undergraduate (Honours) students of the 2025-26 academic session will commence on June 2, 2026. The announcement follows the publication of the first merit list for the admission cycle today, Sunday (May 3).

Students can now access their results on the official admission website under the ‘Honours’ tab or via SMS. With the release of the first merit list, the formal admission process has officially begun.

According to the university's notification, students placed in the first merit list must complete their final admission forms online between May 5 and May 17. Following this, the completed forms, along with a registration fee of BDT 1,130, must be submitted to the respective colleges between May 6 and May 18.

College authorities will verify the information provided by the students and confirm final admissions between May 6 and May 19. The university administration has cautioned that any discrepancies found in student data or photographs could result in the cancellation of the admission.

The university has issued a strict warning regarding dual enrollment. Students currently enrolled in any other academic program for the 2024-25 session must cancel their previous admission by May 13. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of both the new admission and the registration due to dual enrollment regulations.

Additionally, students will have the opportunity to opt for subject migration while filling out their final admission forms. Changes in subjects will be processed based on merit and the availability of vacant seats in the desired departments.

The academic session for these newly admitted students is set to officially start on June 2, marking the beginning of their university journey.
