An insightful seminar titled “Work in Japan: Shape Your Future” took place on Tuesday, 21 October 2025, at the BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) Auditorium. The event was designed to enlighten students about global career opportunities in Japan and deepen their understanding of international professional landscapes.

The seminar featured Dr. Tadashi Ohtake, a distinguished International HR Consultant, as the keynote speaker. Dr. Ohtake shared valuable insights into Japan’s unique work culture, recruitment processes, and strategies for professional growth, particularly for Bangladeshi graduates aspiring to build successful careers abroad.

The programme was graced by Mr. Faruque Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of BUFT, as the Chief Guest, and Professor Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Acting Vice-Chancellor of BUFT, as the Guest of Honour. Other notable attendees included Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Jalil, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences and Faculty of Textile Engineering; Dr. Firoz Alam Chowdhury, Associate Chief Researcher at the Research Institute of Innovative Technology for the Earth (RITE), Japan; and Mr. Kiyoshi Shirako, Director of IMAS Company Limited.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Professor Dr. Md. Alamgir Hossain, Treasurer of BUFT, who expressed gratitude to all participants and emphasized the significance of such initiatives in expanding students’ global perspectives.
