NSU PHSC Holds 5K Run Ahead of Health Fest 2026
The North South University Public Health and Sciences Club (NSU PHSC), in coordination with Run Bangladesh, organized a 5K run on Friday (July 10) as a premier curtain-raiser event for the upcoming Health Fest 2026, scheduled to take place from July 14–16. The early-morning event brought together students, faculty, and staff of North South University alongside enthusiastic runners from outside the university community.
The run commenced at 5:30 a.m., following a dedicated route from the Bashundhara Residential Area to the United Medical College Hospital. Designed to champion physical fitness and community health engagement, the sports initiative served as a key driver to build nationwide awareness and encourage mass participation for the upcoming central festival.
According to the leadership of NSU PHSC, this 5K Run, alongside an exclusive yoga session, forms the core of the festival's pre-awareness promotional campaign.
The organizers highlighted that Health Fest 2026 is a massive three-day national-level convention designed to bridge public health academia with industry professionals. The main itinerary of the festival will feature competitive poster presentations, academic seminars, case study competitions, inter-university quiz competitions, and an upscale alumni dinner, among other co-curricular activities.
The prestigious three-day national festival is being organized with United Healthcare serving as the title sponsor, while Southeast Bank PLC joins the health initiative as the co-sponsor.
