Aziz Al Kaiser nominated as Chairman of NSU Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees of North South University (NSU) has nominated Mr. Aziz Al Kaiser to continue as the Chairman of the North South University Trust for the 2026-2027 tenure.

The decision reflects the Board's continued confidence in his leadership, strategic vision, and commitment to the development of the country's leading private university. Under his tenure, the institution has focused on strengthening governance, institutional development, academic excellence, research initiatives, and long-term strategic planning.

Mr. Aziz Al Kaiser is the son of the late M.A. Hashem, a prominent industrialist, former Member of Parliament, founding member and former Chairman of the NSU Board of Trustees, and the founder of Partex Group. Carrying forward his family's legacy, Mr. Kaiser has served as a dedicated member of the NSU Board of Trustees for years. Beyond his role in academia, he is the Chairman of Partex Star Group and the immediate past Chairman of City Bank PLC.

Expressing his gratitude following the nomination, Mr. Aziz Al Kaiser said:

The entire NSU community, including the Board of Trustees, officers, and employees, extended their congratulations to the re-appointed Chairman.

Welcoming his continuation, Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor of North South University, stated:

With a successful background in the corporate sector and a long-standing involvement in educational development, Mr. Kaiser's leadership is expected to further strengthen NSU's reputation as a top-tier institution of higher education in Bangladesh and the region.
