NSU wraps 10th National Career Fair 2026, spotlighting industry–academia partnerships

North South University’s Career and Placement Center closed the three-day 10th National Career Fair 2026 on 3 February with a ceremony at NSU Plaza, underscoring its push to link classrooms with careers. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Abdul Hannan Chowdhury keynoted the event, stressing industry-aligned education and experiential learning for a shifting global job market. Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Naser U. Ahmed, Treasurer Abdur Rob Khan, and Trustee Board member Rehana Rahman attended.

Chief Guest M. A. Kashem, Trustee Board member, highlighted how strong academia–industry ties shape future-ready graduates. Special Guest Taskeen Ahmed, President of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry, shared insights on workforce development and job opportunities in Bangladesh. Dr Farzana Nahid, Director of CPC and Associate Professor, delivered the vote of thanks, praising university leadership, participating organizations, speakers, volunteers, and stakeholders for making the fair a success.

The fair hosted 100+ local and multinational employers offering on-the-spot recruitment, networking, career counseling, and sector briefings. Over the years, NCF has become a leading national platform, helping students and job seekers bridge the gap between academia and industry and step confidently into their careers.
